This long beaded chain necklace features a ceramic heart pendant at the center. Handcrafted from white stoneware clay and finished with a rustic blue, matte glaze with bark accents. Wrapped in a thick fine silver wire.
The heart adorns a lotus flower on one side and the word breathe on the other. Stamped from a custom font I had specially made for me in steel for my jewelry.
The chain is what I would call long at 31 inches. The dainty cable chain is .925 sterling silver cable type with soldered links made in the USA.
The chain is beaded with tiny 3mm Swarovski faceted crystals in a soft cool blue tone. Each one wrapped into the chain with sterling silver wire.
The ends are finished with a handcrafted, fine silver extension chain (one inch long) making the length adjustable up to 32 inches. A 9mm sterling silver lobster clasp closes the chain.
Why the word breathe? you might ask. It's so literal. Yes, it is. And yet so many of us don't know the art of breathing. We don't have good lung capacity and maybe get a shortness of breath easily. We hold our breath when we are anxious or breathe shallow, not allowing our blood to flow like it should to our heart. This is why I use the word breathe so often in my works. Because I, like so many others need that reminder. While the definition may be literal, for each of us this word will have it's own message and meaning. Yoga teaches us the art of breath. Pranayamas are yogic breathing exercises that have the ability to quickly increase our energy, release stress, improve our mental clarity, and improve our physical health. I recommend this to anyone, young or old to learn and practice. Our breath is our life force and the Source of life.
